WEEK 18 (MAY 10)

Production line


Where I left everything? OK, so far so ...good?
Um, not really. 

After opening my 372indurstries projects in UE4 and 3DsMax I did a quick look around and decided what should I do with it. A lot of things going on here. But I should not waste my time and start improving my block-outs and start unwrapping it. I need to do it quickly and upload everything to see a bigger picture. 



Improving main assets


3Robot, Carrier, Robotic_Arm and Ceiling_Arm are the most important assets in my projects. I was focusing on these and what I've made so far:

Robotic_Arm:
It is a headache, all these wires and small details going to be a pain to unwrap but modeling these small details is a joy for me. This arm is populated with details because it performs the most precise work with quite small details. There is a wire or pipe for every movement.

I will keep the base the same for all my robotic_arms but the endings will be different. UV_inspecting_arm and Velding_Arm will have fewer details and different endings. And you know what? I think this model would sell quite well since there are just a several robot arms on the market. Hm.



3Robot:
My 3Robot model would take a lot of time to model due to small details, so I started kitbashing it with parts that I already made. I don't have a lot of time and I need to play fast. 
I think it has a basic body filled with details and that is enough for now. Since this is a prototype, I want it to be quite exposed. I will add a bigger screenshot at the end of this blog.  






Carrier:
I smoothify some edges and modelled additional pieces to it but I am going to leave it quite simply. These things are just smart moving boxes used to carry items around in manufacture, so there is no necessity for complicated tech here. 



Ceiling Arm:
Haven't touched this one yet. I will work on it upcoming week. Like the carrier, I will smoothify some edges and add more details. Need to keep things simple and clean.


 

Next week


Time is running out and I need to push. I enjoy unwrapping things, it's a puzzle that needs to be solved. The problem is the number of small assets I have in my warehouse. 

I will continue modeling and start unwrapping things. I need a plan and some luck.
